Engineer Tek-Sen ENERGY Union: “We will raise our voices louder for the future of YKS champions”
The university admission results for Turkey's future generation have been announced. According to data shared by the Higher Education Council (YÖK), five students who scored full marks in the 2025 YKS opted for engineering faculties instead of medical faculties, unlike in previous years. Furthermore, the enrollment rate in engineering programs exceeded 97%. Mümin Güler, President of the Mühendis Tek-Sen ENERGY Union, said, "The fact that the YKS champions have chosen engineering departments is encouraging for the future of our country. Starting with our champion young people, we will raise our voices even louder and continue our struggle with even more determination so that the future engineers who choose engineering departments do not experience the problems we have experienced."
According to the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) results announced on Monday, August 25, 2025, five of the six students who scored 500 points chose engineering faculties. This shows that Turkey's youth are turning to engineering fields. Mümin Güler, President of the Mühendis Tek-Sen ENERGY Union, congratulated the young people for their determination to contribute to the country's technological future and stated that they would now fight for them as well.
